The robust and reliable ServoFit Precision Planetary Gearhead is designed to fit where previously only direct drive motor solutions would work. Some features are:

- Highest running smoothness achieved by proven helical gearing and gear tooth microgeometry. Gear quality provided by case-hardened and finish-ground sun and planet gears
- FKM seals for the smallest possible diameter, reduces heat build-up, increases efficiency, and allows continuous duty operation without additional cooling
- Highest running accuracy and precision ensured by high-tensile tempered ductile iron single-piece housing which dampens noise, dissipates heat, and maintains a greater lubrication retention on the machined-in ring gear
- High input RPM’s
- Extended emergency torque
- Bearing options for application specific radial load, axial load, and tilting moment
- Output shaft: keyed or keyless
- The motor shaft adaption system allows installation in minutes without special tools. The patented motor coupling is designed to allow thermal expansion of the motor shaft, ensuring long motor life by preventing thrust load on the motor bearings. The triple-split collet, designed for greater concentricity and low inertia, is rated in excess of the gearhead torque capacity. Adapter bushings to fit all motor shafts are provided when necessary. No shaft key is required.

PA Series
The “PA” Series ServoFit™ Precision Planetary Gearhead has set new standards of excellence for low-backlash helical planetary gear units. The “PA” can be used for extremely demanding requirements. Precise synchronism and minimized gear vibration in variable load conditions make the “PA” a quiet, smooth-running, quality gear unit.
- Backlash 1 arc minute or less
- Precision selection of parts ensures optimal performance without binding gear teeth, resulting in a more accurate and smooth direct drive
- The FlexiAdapt™ motor coupling is designed for accurate and precise motor installation. The integrated thermal expansion feature, in the shape of a bellows, compensates for linear thermal expansion of the motor shaft. Adapter bushings are provided when needed to fit any motor shaft.
- 100% interchangeable with the “P” Series shaft and flange dimensions
- Additional binary ratios: 8, 16, 32:1

Readily attaches to any servo motor. A wide selection of IEC and NEMA motor plates are stock. (Maximum 10 working days for custom motor plates.)
