ATmospheres EXplosible

ATEX is a directive consisting of two European directives describing electrical or mechanical equipment allowed in an environment with an explosive atmosphere. ATEX derives its name from ATmospheres EXplosible and applies to all equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres.

    No. STOBER only supplies mechanical gear units. These products have a reduction in ratios, torque, speed, and shaft loads

    The manufacture may add and/or substitute components. The product shall also, be used as intended and specified.

  • What are some environments that require ATEX?
    Some general environments are gas, flour, grain, sugar, saw dust, coal dust. You should verify with a database of combustible and explosive dust.
